The GR21 to cross the Seine-Maritime

Explore the green and iodised heritage of Normandy along the Côte d'Albâtre.

It is an expedition of several intense days that awaits you on the 195 km GR21 Littoral de Normandie. This itinerary takes you through the whole of the Seine-Maritime region, starting in Le Tréport, passing through Etretat and ending in Le Havre.

It is in a magnificent setting that you will be able to enjoy the incredible landscapes of Normandy: white chalk cliffs, forests, villages of charm and character, port towns... The path offers splendid panoramas to be admired which make you enjoy the moment and the beauty of nature.

The lower cliff, a postcard view, whatever the season

From Etretat beach, a path invites you to go through the Porte d'Aval to climb the cliffs and reach a first magnificent viewpoint over the sea. Then continue towards the Manneporte to discover breathtaking panoramas. It is here that photo enthusiasts and professional photographers alike take their places to capture the breathtaking view.

If you feel like it, you can also go down to the beach of Antifer or even go through the famous "trou à l'Homme" paying attention to the tide times.

With your children: climb the Amont cliff

If you are simply looking for a quiet place to enjoy the moment with your children in Etretat, the Falaise d'Amont will be your best bet. Accessible from the beach and completely suitable for your family. Very popular with holidaymakers, foreigners and families with children, it is even a must-see during your visit to Etretat!

The path consists mainly of steps. First made of stone and then anchored in the ground, they will take you to the top of the cliff in less than 10 minutes. This is where you will find the church of Etretat and cows that your children can meet.
